Fluidyne Detonation Flame Arrestors have an unique modular design with high mechanical strength with two or more number of flame banks stacked together that gives high reliability and performance of the product.
Arrestor The FLUIDYNE Horizontal Flame Arrestor is gas piping systems for high flow flow capacity and specifically designed to prevent liquid accumulation in the flame bank assembly. The Flame Bank consisting of a spiral wound crimped ribbon for high flow capacity with minimum pressure drop. Standard material include cast steel, stainless steel body materials for most environments for periodic inspection and maintenance. Fluidyne in-line flame arresters is designed with an eccentric housing to automatically drain condensate build up in the housing specially developed for bio-, sewage and other gas applications. Due to its eccentric design in contrast to conventional concentric flame arresters the device can be installed in pipelines that run close to floors or walls. The distance between potential ignition sources and device should not exceed the L/D as per EN ISO 16852 limits (L/D)max ≤ 50 for deflagration flame arresters for explosion group IIA1- methane.
Fluidyne Standards for Maximum Experimental Safe Gap (MESG) is a standardized measurement of how easily a gas flame will pass through a narrow gap bordered by heat-absorbing metal. MESG is used to classify flammable gases for the design and/or selection of flame arrestors The National Electric Code classifies Class I hazardous locations into different groups depending on the respective MESG's of gases in the area. The flame bank design selected conforms to the area classifications and requirements of MESG.

Fluidyne Sintered Mesh Flame Arrestors and Spark Arrestors are often used at end of vent lines and exhausts as economical alternatives to regular flame arrestors. Fluidyne Sintered Mesh Flame Arrestors and Spark Arrestors have large free flow areas and are effective for various applications.

Operation Fluidyne API standard Flame Arrestors / Arresters are also known as Flame Traps. Fluidyne API standard Flame Arrestors are manufactured in various designs and applications like Detonation Flame Arrestors and Deflagration Flame Arrestors, In-Line and End-Of-Line Types. Flame Arrestors stop the propagation of a flame by absorbing and dissipating heat through the large surface area of the bank sheets. Ignited vapor attempting to pass through the arrestor is forced through small passages within the bank assembly. Heat is absorbed, lowering the temperature of the gas below its ignition point and quenching the flame. Flame Arresters are typically used in the chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries on applications such as storage tank facilities, flare stacks, incineration systems, storage tank roofs or digester convertor to prevent the propagation of confined and unconfined deflagrations. Detonation flame Arresters additionally stop the high pressures and velocities that can result in detonations.
